This entry is part 17 of 17 in the series Alaska Cruise 2015

The final stop on our Alaska Cruise was Victoria, British Columbia. This was an evening port stop, arriving at approximately 6PM and then departing at midnight. So, there wasn’t time to do much, but it was a quiet and relaxing port compared to our previous ports which had been so busy with activity! Luckily in that part of the world it stays daylight well into the late evening hours, so we could still see the sites!

We took a free shuttle that operated between the port and the downtown area of Victoria. The main attractions in that Area seems to be the Empress Hotel and the British Columbia Parliament Buildings.

The Empress

I didn’t take many photos inside the Empress. I feel like toward the end of a lot of long vacations, my desire to take photographs begins to wane. But, here is one of the tea room doors. Apparently the Empress is known for its high tea!

British Columbia Parliament Buildings

Another gorgeous structure in Victoria is the parliament buildings. I loved how this place looked in the evening sun!

Victoria Waterfront

And the waterfront area was just a lovely, quaint area to walk around.

And, walking more around the downtown area, we spotted these two fun finds. A Darth Vader playing the violin and a McDonalds that sells Bacon Poutine (I think it was a McDonalds. It was some fast food place where you definitely wouldn’t see poutine on the menu here in the States!)

We walked around for quite a bit, and then headed back on the shuttle to the port. We’d be arriving in Seattle the next day and ready for our flight back home!
